Benjamin Crump Special Guest Speaker at
Martinet Gala
April 25, 2013
Martinet Baton Rouge is excited to announce t hat our
special guest speaker at this year's gala is Attorney
Benjamin Crump. Benjamin Crump is best known as the
attorney representing the Trayvon Martin
family. Attorney Crump is a principal with the
Tallahassee Firm of Parks & Crump, LLC. Please join us
on April 25, 2013 as we recognize local African American
Attorneys who have made partner and award scholarships
to many deserving local students. This year the gala
will be held from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Juban's, 3739
Perkins Road, Baton Rouge. Martinet Baton Rouge will
also be bestowing a Lifetime Achievement Award upon
Louisiana Supreme Court Chief Justice Bernette Johnson.
Tickets are $50.00 per person and $35.00 for students. There will
be delicious food, free drinks, entertainment, and
a silent auction. To purchase tickets, please contact
any board member.

the new Executive board

the installation of President Christopher
Hebert, 1st Vice-President Donna Lee,
Treasurer Rolando Urbina, Secretary Talya
Bergeron and Immediate Past President Michael
Tyler. The 2nd Vice-President
position is currently vacant and will be filled
as allowed under the Martinet By-laws.
Martinet Baton Rouge would like to congratulate
current Immediate Past President Alejandro
Perkins on his recent recognition as a
Distinguished Alum of the Southern University
Law Center.

New Orleans Louis Martinet member:
Justice Bernette Johnson in becoming the
Louisiana Supreme Court's next Chief Justice and
the state of Louisiana's first Black Supreme
Court Justice.
